Book Club

I'll tell you a secret - I love books.  They're some of my best friends.  Books keep me company, help me recharge at the end of a long day and, best of all, help me process life.

One of my favorite things is introducing my friends to my favorite books.  Blogging has opened up a whole new world of friends to me and it's time to announce the next book up for discussion in our online book club based here at the blog and on Facebook.

Starting Feb 2nd we'll dive into Spiritual Misfit: A Memoir of Uneasy Faith by Michelle DeRusha.  I'll be sharing more info about the book and a chance to win a free copy in an upcoming blog post. Discussions will be held in a private Facebook group.

I'll get things started each Monday with a quote or a few questions to discuss and on Wednesday it's your turn to lead by sharing some of your favorite quotes or questions from each chapter.  The tone of the discussion will always be civil and respectful, we'll approach every conversation with openness and a willingness to learn from each others' experiences.

Excited?  I am.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here or send me a private message on the A Field of Wild Flowers Facebook page.

  1. What a great idea, Kelly. I'm so with you on your love of books. They are among my best friends and my dearest belongings. I joke in all seriousness with my husband about how I'd much rather buy books than clothes. Anyways, I love that you're doing this, friend.

    1. Thanks Amber. It's good to marry someone who understands your "habits;" Some women collect shoes, others collect books! :)

  2. Love this book!! For some reason, I am no longer receiving your posts by email. I tried signing up again, but it tells me I already AM signed up. Sigh.

    1. Me too, Diana, it's one I return to again and again. Hmmmm . . . isn't it strange how that happens? The same thing happens to me sometimes in my blog roll, there are just some that refuse to show up. I guess every system must have its glitches. I've been missing you :)
