After

After
(Matt. 2:1-12)

After you find the One for whom you wait,
after you are overwhelmed with joy
and kneel to kiss holy ground,
you might also find yourself
returning home by another road.

The ways you once walked no longer
appeal.  And though the way is dark
and takes you further ‘round,
you will know it at once to be your road,
the path for which you were made.

  1. "you will know it at once to be your road." I love that line.

  2. Oh Kelly, this was simply beautiful. "...the path for which you were made." Oh yes, what a thrilling thought. Pursuing the Savior sometimes takes us the *long way around* - but it's all so worth it!

    Just loved this...

    GOD BLESS!

  3. "...you might also find yourself returning home by another road." Oh Kelly. These words were perfect for me to read this morning, contemplating this new year and how far I've traveled in the past one. Thank you.
